The Prominence Collective was proud to be recognised twice at the Prolific North Champions Awards 2026, with founder Edwin Buckley a finalist for ‘Prolific Leader of the Year’ and our #WidowedAtChristmas campaign with The Widowed Collective shortlisted for ‘Not-for-Profit Campaign of the Year’.

While we didn’t take home the win in either category, being named a finalist twice alongside some brilliant people, organisations and campaigns was a fantastic achievement for us. The awards celebrate leading work and talent across the North’s creative and digital industries, and we’d like to congratulate all of this year’s winners and fellow finalists.

Edwin’s nomination recognised his leadership of The Prominence Collective and a career spanning communications, engagement, campaigns, media and content across the private, public and charity sectors. Through the consultancy, he works with businesses, charities and experts across strategic communications, campaigns, media relations, content and social strategy, thought leadership, partnerships and stakeholder engagement.

Our second finalist place celebrated the work itself. #WidowedAtChristmas was developed with The Widowed Collective to raise awareness of the realities of grief and widowhood during a time of year dominated by messages of celebration and togetherness.

Built around lived experience, the campaign gave widowed people a platform to share what Christmas can really feel like after the death of a partner, while raising awareness of The Widowed Collective and its peer support community. It reached audiences across national television, radio, print and digital media, including BBC News, ITV, LBC and wider national and regional media.

Being recognised for both leadership and campaign work was a brilliant moment for The Prominence Collective and reflects the breadth of what we do, from developing campaigns and communications strategies to content, media, partnerships, stakeholder engagement and profile development.

We are incredibly proud to have been finalists in both categories and grateful to everyone who has worked with and supported us along the way. Congratulations again to all of the winners and finalists.
