Edwin brings almost two decades of experience spanning communications, campaigns, media and content. Before establishing The Prominence Collective, he worked across the charity, public and private sectors, and spent more than a decade in television, giving him a combination of strategic communications experience, editorial judgement and a strong understanding of audiences and storytelling.

A key part of that career was leading communications and engagement at Causeway, a national charity working across modern slavery and criminal justice. As Head of Communications and Engagement, Edwin had responsibility for communications across the organisation, encompassing PR, campaigns, brand, digital, content, marketing, stakeholder engagement and internal communications.

During his time at Causeway, he transformed the charity’s external profile, increasing media coverage by 300% and securing national exposure across BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, and major national newspapers and magazines. He led 13 integrated campaigns, directed an organisational rebrand and launched new digital initiatives including the UK’s first modern slavery Risk Checker and an online Help & Advice Hub. He also introduced a celebrity ambassador programme involving more than 60 supporters including Stephen Fry, Zoë Wanamaker and Julie Hesmondhalgh, alongside collaborations with EastEnders, Hollyoaks and BBC Radio 4.

His wider career includes Prostate Cancer UK, where he worked across national communications, campaigns, media and celebrity and influencer engagement, building relationships with more than 150 high-profile advocates. He was also part of the core producing team behind the charity’s major fundraising concert at the Royal Albert Hall, working alongside Jools Holland and Live Aid producer Harvey Goldsmith. At Natural England, Edwin developed the communications and public engagement strategy for a major campaign encouraging more people to access and enjoy England’s natural landscapes.

Prior to this, Edwin spent more than a decade in television, including as a BBC Producer and as a freelancer across ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, MTV and Sky. It was there that he developed many of the skills that still shape his work today, understanding audiences, finding compelling stories, developing strong ideas and turning them into content that people want to engage with.

Edwin founded The Prominence Collective to bring those different strands of experience together. Today, he provides strategic and practical support across communications strategy, campaigns, PR and media relations, content and social media, thought leadership, partnerships, influencer and stakeholder engagement and reputation.

His work has since been recognised by the Prolific North Champions Awards, where Edwin was a finalist for ‘Prolific Leader of the Year’ and ‘Not-for-Profit Campaign of the Year’, for the #WidowedAtCristmas campaign he produced for The Widowed Collective.
