Helping Clients Communicate, Connect and Grow
Good communications starts with understanding what matters, who needs to hear it, and how best to reach them. Sometimes that means helping a business strengthen its brand and communicate a complex project, and sometimes it means supporting a charity with a campaign, creating a media and content strategy, engaging stakeholders or building partnerships. In other cases, it means helping a founder, expert or public figure develop their profile and contribute meaningfully to wider conversations.

That breadth sits at the heart of The Prominence Collective. We work across businesses, charities, campaigns, experts, founders and public figures, delivering strategic communications that can span PR and media relations, brand development, campaign strategy, social media and content, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, influencer engagement, strategic collaborations and partnerships.
The combination is different for every client. Communications might involve developing the narrative around an organisation, identifying the audiences it needs to reach and creating the messages and content to engage them. It could mean building a social media strategy, developing a campaign, bringing together partners and influencers, creating opportunities for experts and senior leaders, or identifying stories that can reach audiences through press, media, podcasts, events and digital platforms.
Media remains one important part of that mix, and our work has generated national coverage across BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, LBC, Times Radio, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Sun, Metro, The Big Issue, OK!, HELLO!, new!, My Weekly, Digital Spy and HuffPost, alongside extensive wider broadcast newspaper, magazine, specialist, trade, podcast and regional coverage. But coverage is most valuable when it supports a wider objective, whether that is strengthening reputation, reaching a new audience, supporting a campaign, increasing understanding or creating new opportunities.
For businesses, our work can connect brand, content, profile and external communications. With Fourth Wall Building Consultancy, we supported communications around a major regeneration project, bringing together sustainability, community impact and the consultancy’s specialist expertise in a way that made a technically complex development relevant to wider audiences.
With Chapter2Dating and WidowsFire, our work has been broader and long term, spanning communications strategy, brand PR, human-interest storytelling, founder profiling, thought leadership, content, social media strategy, speaking opportunities and collaborations. The focus has been on creating sustained visibility for two distinct purpose-driven technology brands while developing different ways for them, and founder Nicky Wake, to connect with audiences around widowhood, relationships, dating, intimacy and rebuilding life after loss.
Our work with SoberLove has supported the profile of a dating and friendship app for sober and sober-curious people, creating communications around sober dating, relationships, changing attitudes to alcohol and social life without drinking. This has included media and founder storytelling that connects the business with wider conversations around sobriety, recovery, relationships and changing lifestyles.
Charities and non-profits often require communications to engage several audiences at once. With Legasee Educational Trust, we have supported projects preserving the stories of British military veterans, including women who served in the WRAC and Berlin Airlift veterans. Our work has included project positioning and messaging, media strategy, human storytelling, stakeholder engagement and strategic social media advice, helping individual testimonies reach wider audiences while supporting the charity’s broader work preserving living history.
For All Aboard ADHD, a focused PR campaign raised the profile of its coaching, podcast and community for parents navigating ADHD. Coverage across national, parenting, podcast and wider media brought the organisation to new audiences, while the press campaign also led producers from BBC One’s The One Show to approach founder Claire Quigley Ward for a special film about families living with ADHD.
Human experience is another important strand of our communications work, particularly when someone’s story can contribute to a wider campaign, organisation, cause or public conversation. This requires judgement about not only where a story might appear, but how it should be told, what someone is comfortable sharing and what purpose that visibility should serve.
We have supported Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig-Webb in speaking publicly about his lifelong deafness, bringing attention to disability, inclusion and wellbeing. Social media creator and podcaster Brett Harman shared his experience of losing his fiancée to cancer and finding connection through social media, a story connected to the community and positivity behind his Brettflix platform.
The Traitors UK star Ash Bibi shared her experience of surviving childhood abuse and living in a women’s refuge, contributing to wider conversations around violence against women and girls. The Great British Bake Off contestant Andy Ryan spoke about going through ten rounds of IVF, bringing a rarely heard male perspective to conversations around fertility, treatment and loss.
Strategic collaborations and partnerships create another route to relevant audiences. Depending on the client, we identify and develop relationships with businesses, charities, influencers, creators and other organisations where there is genuine alignment. Our work has involved organisations including Manchester Airport, AO, YHA, Nikwax, Propstore, G Adventures, Marie Curie and Andy’s Man Club, creating opportunities that connect communications, content, audiences and shared interests.
Influencer and stakeholder engagement can play an equally important role. That might mean identifying people who can amplify a campaign, engaging organisations with a shared interest in an issue, building relationships with relevant communities or creating the materials and messaging needed to bring different stakeholders into the conversation. Social media and content strategy also give clients ways to build their presence through their own channels, connecting external opportunities with consistent communications they control.
These different strands are most effective when they work together. A strong story might create media interest, provide material for social and digital content, open a conversation with a potential partner, create a speaking opportunity or introduce an organisation to stakeholders it wants to engage. Equally, a campaign might begin with audience insight and messaging before developing across content, media, influencers, partnerships and stakeholder communications.
That is why we do not see strategic communications as a collection of isolated tactics. It is about understanding the organisation or individual, the audiences they need to reach and the combination of channels, relationships and opportunities most likely to achieve their objectives.
Whether we are supporting a business, charity, founder, expert, campaigner or public figure, the aim is to create communications that strengthen reputation, build meaningful visibility, deepen audience connection and help good work, important ideas and credible voices reach the people who need to hear them.
If you need strategic PR and communications support across campaigns, content, media, social, partnerships, stakeholder engagement or wider brand development, please get in touch to discuss how we can work together.
